BC’s Southern Interior spans a vast geographic area with a rapidly growing population, including high rates of senior and rural residents. This creates a uniquely complex health care landscape for the Interior Health Authority. Through donor generosity, Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) continues to grow as a leader in advanced care, serving a region as expansive and diverse as the needs of the patients who depend on it.

“The Interprofessional Collaborative Care Self-Management and Prevention program supports individuals at high risk of stroke with a multidisciplinary team of health profession students. With support from the KGH Foundation’s Stroke Innovation Fund, we developed an evidence-based program, utilizing an innovative and sustainable model of care that can be shared beyond our region.”
