The KGH Foundation Team
Driving the vision forward
Meet Our Team
Fundraising to advance regional health care is what we do. But our success begins with the quality of the relationships we build. Our people are our greatest assets. As a team, we work together to earn the trust and confidence of the community, donors and our partners in health care. We build purposeful relationships and partnerships based on one, singular promise – giving changes everything.
Leadership
Allison Young
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Allison (Allie) is responsible for leading the entire organization. Her strengths lie in cultivating relationships, people and culture, her collaborative approach, and a vision for the Foundation that is fundamentally rooted in innovation and growth. Since joining the KGH Foundation in 2017, Allie has drawn on over 15 years of fundraising experience. Hired initially as a Director of Philanthropy, she quickly endeared herself to donors with her unyielding enthusiasm and passion for advancing regional health care. Her drive and strategic mindset promptly set her apart, and two years later, she was named Chief Development Officer, a position that saw her demonstrate her leadership capacity. Allie served as a founding board member of AFP Okanagan and currently represents B.C. on the National Council for the Association of Health Care Philanthropy professionals. In addition to her professional work, Allie recently completed an academic master’s program in Philanthropy & Not-for-profit Leadership at Carleton University. All while raising two fine young men, her sons, Will and Ethan.
“Linking the passion and desires of donors to the needs/opportunities of the health system and KGH is such a privilege. I am inspired most by the people; our team, donors, clinicians & caregivers, and administrators and, ultimately, the transformative changes to our system of care that become possible when we work together. I am grateful to feel such purpose in my work.”
