Endowment Giving & How it Works

When you create or contribute to an endowment, you help ensure lasting support for exceptional care, research, and innovation at Kelowna General Hospital and across our community.
Your endowment reflects your interests – you can choose how your fund will be used, name it in a way that’s meaningful to you, and know that it will inspire others for years to come.
Endowments are established through an agreement between you and the KGH Foundation. With guidance from our philanthropy team, you can:
- Select the area of care or program you wish to support
- Choose a meaningful name for your fund
- Decide how long the fund will remain active (minimum 10 years)
Because endowment funds are invested, the income they generate provides sustainable, long-term support for priority needs such as new technology, patient care programs, and leading-edge research.
Endowment donors make it possible for the KGH Foundation to plan confidently for the future because your generosity continues to make a difference year after year.
