In 2015, long-time Kelowna residents Jim and Kathy Rogers gave a gift to support the acquisition of the Hybrid Operating Room (OR) at Kelowna General Hospital. A year later, a fall from his horse put Jim in the very room he helped fund where the vascular team of surgeons were able to repair his heart, and save his life.
