VOLUNTEERING
Maybe volunteering isn’t about giving something away but giving something back.
We’ve done the math. Every week, the KGH Foundation relies on hundreds of hospital volunteers to staff our four non-profit businesses. Each 4-hour shift contributes approximately $84, and over $1 million in total donations per year. But beyond the numbers, volunteering is good for the soul.
Are you looking to meet new people? Would you like to learn new skills, outside of your career? Do you enjoy working in a team environment? Do you have 4 hours a week, or are you able to pick up a shift here and there? We’d love to virtually meet with you to discuss the number of ways to get involved!
When you join the Business Enterprise Team, you become an ambassador for the KGH Foundation and a catalyst for change in our community. This is an opportunity for you to not only provide essential services to our hospital community, but also to help us generate the funds needed to build world-class health care, right here at home. Volunteers are an integral part of our operation, and we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities that engage our volunteers in roles best suited to their talents, skills, abilities and interests. Please note that the minimum age required for all KGH Foundation volunteer opportunities is 16.

JoeAnna’s House
Every day, the KGH Foundation relies on volunteers to help ensure our guests have a comfortable stay at JoeAnna’s House. Are you looking to meet new people? Do you enjoy working in a team environment? Are you interested in giving back in a rewarding environment? If so, then volunteering with JoeAnna’s House is the perfect opportunity for you!
Small Commitment – Loads of Fun! From time-to-time we have opportunities for volunteers to assist at our community events and fundraisers. If interested, please fill out the interest form to be added to our Community Events Volunteer Email List.
Casual Volunteer
Can’t commit to a set shift each week but still want to make a difference? We are always accepting casual volunteers that can pick up a few shifts per month, based on their schedule. Your ability to cover shifts when it’s needed most can help us keep our venues open for our hospital community.
VOLUNTEERING
Our volunteers are part of a caring community of dedicated individuals from all ages, stages and walks of life (you can read more about them in the Kindred Spirits News). They aren’t just making a difference, they ARE the difference. We did the math and discovered that each of our volunteers represents $84 in funds per four hour shift. Those funds go directly to purchasing state-of-the-art medical equipment totaling in the millions. In just four hours, each volunteer makes a vital contribution.
