Spirit of Hope Returns

Spirit of Hope Returns October 15, Bringing the Okanagan Community Together for Parkinson’s Research and Care

Spirit of Hope will combine philanthropy, food, fashion, and community on October 15, raising funds to advance Parkinson’s care and research at the Humphreys Family Movement Disorder Clinic.

OKANAGAN VALLEY, BC, October 8, 2026 – An annual Okanagan fundraising event focused on community impact returns October 15, raising funds and awareness for Parkinson’s research and care through the Humphreys Family Movement Disorder Clinic at Kelowna General Hospital. The evening will bring together guests, sponsors and supporters for an event focused on advancing care and research closer to home.

Spirit of Hope was established to mobilize community support by raising awareness and generating funds in response to important needs identified within the Okanagan. It transforms community generosity into meaningful action, shining a light on important needs and helping focus support where it can have significant impact. Lu Kapp, Creative Director of Spirit of Hope, brings that vision to life each year, creating a distinctive evening that combines philanthropy, food, fashion, and community.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Daryl Wile, neurologist and head of the Humphreys Family Movement Disorder Clinic. Dr. Wile will offer an inside look at the clinic’s work and the advances being made in Parkinson’s care and research right here in the Okanagan, highlighting what that progress means for patients and families in our community.

Spirit of Hope will once again be hosted at Erica Jane restaurant, with support from Panorama Wealth Management Group – Scotia Bank, Sentes Automotive, Isabey Interiors, Mission Hill, and Erica Jane. The October 15 evening will feature an exceptional culinary experience, a fall fashion show and a silent auction featuring contributions from donors throughout the Okanagan and beyond. Proceeds will support Parkinson’s research and care through the clinic.

Now a recognized part of the Okanagan fall calendar, Spirit of Hope offers an opportunity to experience an engaging evening while contributing to a cause with a meaningful local impact.

Tickets remain available in limited numbers at www.trellis.org/spiritofhope.
