Donor Centre Memorial & Tribute Giving
Donations in memory of a loved one or in honour of someone or a special occasion are meaningful forms of recognition.
Memorial and Tribute gifts may be designated to the KGH Foundation’s Area of Greatest Need or you may designate your gift to a more specific area of care.
When you make a Memorial or Tribute gift, the Foundation sends a card to the person or family to inform them of your thoughtful donation.
You can make a Memorial or Tribute donation online or mail your gift directly to the KGH Foundation.

Gifts in Memory
A Gift in Memory is a special way for family and friends to express their sympathy while helping Kelowna General Hospital advance health care in the community and beyond. Many people choose to make these gifts in lieu of flowers. The Kelowna General Hospital Foundation will acknowledge all donations given in memory by sending a card to the next of kin with an expression of sympathy. Please include the next of kin contact information if you would like us to send a card in acknowledgment of your gift. The amount of your gift is kept strictly confidential.
When a donation in memory of a loved one reaches $2500, they will be recognized on the Foundation’s remembrance wall which is located in the hospital. This wall incorporates doves in flight over the Okanagan landscape.
Gifts in Honour
A Gift in Honour can acknowledge the work of a medical provider who deserves extra recognition for his or her compassion and commitment. These gifts offer individual grateful patients and their families the chance to show their appreciation for the outstanding care offered by a physician, nurse, or other care provider.
When you make your gift please indicate the names and addresses of those you would like KGH Foundation to notify of your gift, such as the honoree or their family members.
Gifts in Celebration
A Gift in Celebration is a unique opportunity to let family members, friends, or colleagues know that you are thinking of them. These gifts are often made to mark an important event like the birth of a child or grandchild, birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, retirement, holiday, or another memorable occasion.
Please indicate the names and addresses of those you would like KGH Foundation to notify of your gift and the type of occasion (such as birthday or anniversary).
