Winfield Hospital Auxiliary 60th Anniversary

On November 23, 2016, staff and volunteers from the KGH Foundation celebrated a group of very special ladies that make up the Winfield Hospital Auxiliary, honoring their 60 years of dedicated service to Kelowna General Hospital and its associated facilities.

“The generosity of time and spirit of the Winfield Auxiliary members is well worth honoring,” said KGH Foundation Business Enterprise Manager, Nancy Wells who works closely with the Auxiliary members. “These ladies have worked countless hours to support our hospital and we are so grateful for their service.”

The hospital Auxiliaries are vital to supporting the hospital and operate on the generosity of volunteers.  Last year, the four area Auxiliaries – Kelowna, Peachland, Winfield and Rutland – joined forces and committed to purchasing a new CT Scanner for the hospital.  The purchase was funded solely from the net proceeds raised through KGH business ventures, catering operations in Peachland and Winfield, and the Rutland Thrift Shop.
