Debbie is passionate about philanthropy and increasing community capacity. She has been involved with a variety of different organizations covering a wide spectrum including healthcare, education and social services.
Debbie and her husband relocated to Kelowna in 2008 after spending 32 years in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Debbie was an active member of the Fort McMurray community serving as a volunteer board member for a multitude of organizations including Alberta Children and Family Services, the Chamber of Commerce, Keyano College Foundation (Chair), Science Alberta Foundation, the Alberta Winter Games (Marketing Director) as well as several others.
Since relocating to Kelowna, Debbie has lent her time and expertise to The Canadian Cancer Society annual Daffodil Ball. Her and husband, Leo, were the Honourary Chairs for the 2014 Heart of Gold Gala in support of the KGH Foundation. Debbie is the current chair of the 2018 Heart of Gold organizing committee.
Debbie looks forward to continuing to support the Kelowna General Hospital as a director on the KGH Foundation Board.
