Darrell joined the KGH Foundation Board in 2016 and sits on the Planned Giving and Governance Committees.
Darrell graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Honors from the University of Manitoba in 1977. He retired as an investment advisor with RBC Dominion Securities after 29 years. Darrell began his career as a Sales Representative and eventually moved to the financial services industry. In 1984, Darrell completed his Chartered Financial Planner designation. He became a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute in 1988. In 1989 Darrell and his family were transferred to Kelowna. He is the former 2008-09 President of the Kelowna Estate Planning Society.
Darrell has been one of the sponsors of B.C. Children’s Hospital Radiothon over the years. He was also involved with the Canadian Cancer Society Gala of Hope from 2008 to 2010.
In 2013 he joined the Leadership Team for the Be a Lifesaver Campaign for the KGH Foundation to help raise $12 million for additional equipment for the new Interior Heart and Surgical Center.
