Bike n’ Braai is returning for its 13th year on Sunday June 2nd, 2019 and we’re switching things up! Get your mountain bikes or cross-country bikes ready, as we’re going to be riding part of the Okanagan Rail Trail. You’ll get to experience the true beauty of the Okanagan area, riding all the way from Kelowna to Vernon enjoying many scenic views along the way. some detours will be established to navigate the incomplete portions resulting in a beautiful, largely lakefront ride approximately 55km in length. There will also be a shorter route (30km) available for families/kids or for those just wanting a shorter duration. The ride will wrap up at the Mackie Lake House in Vernon for a gourmet BBQ lunch, complete with live music, prizes and a wrap-up celebration. Shuttles are available at the end of the day to transport riders and their bikes back to the starting location. Funds raised in 2019 will support advanced heart rhythm services to complete the cardiac program at KGH!
