The KGH Foundation Planned Giving Committee is comprised of representatives from the professional community and Foundation board members that have volunteered their time and expertise to further the planned giving program for the benefit of the community it serves.

The Committee will make recommendations to the Board of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation with a focus on developing an active planned giving program that upholds the interests of our donors. Together the Committee develops annual objectives, guidelines and policies for implementing and operating a program of excellence.

Ian Williamson

Ian began his professional career with Montreal Trust in Kelowna in 1967, before moving to Vancouver (1970) where he commenced estate administration. Ian spent seven years in Vancouver before moving on to Calgary and later Victoria with Montreal Trust. Ian then returned to Kelowna, where he served as Montreal Trust’s Branch Manager until the company moved with Scotiabank in 1995. In 2001, Ian retired from work with Scotiabank, and not long after formed First Valley Estate Administrators (2002), as well as its successor company, Community Western Trust Corporation, which specializes in wills, estates and trust administration, in 2005.
